Susan Sullivan has a distinguished 30-year career in tourism. From her Queensland headquarters, she has headed PR activities for tourism products including Hamilton Island, Aspen Skiing Company (Australia and NZ), Ocean Blue Oman and Mantra Group among others as well as sitting on the board of Tourism Whitsundays.
For the past 16 years, whilst working in the tourism sector, she has also held lecturing and tutoring roles (in public relations, journalism and social media subjects) at Griffith University and Bond University (where she created the Social Media Tactics subject within the school of Communications & Media) and more recently at the University of Queensland where she is developing and delivering new subjects for the Bachelor of Communications degree. Susan is the author of numerous academic papers and texts on tourism events, media relations and social media.
She currently operates Red Hat Media Group, a dynamic content creation agency with offices at the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
